MOBILE APP

The AMP mobile app helps Warner Music Group's artists and managers make meaningful connections from performance data. The app helps users understand global music trends and see a snapshot of how tracks, artists or albums are streaming across digital services, for example on Spotify or Apple. Users can view airplay, playlist and TikTok trends, along with seeing rankings for official or radio charts. We worked closely with a group of designers and developers at Warner to create both the UX and UI for the iPhone and Android apps. The app is available at Apple’s app store and the Android version in the Google Play store.

As the app was built, the design team worked closely with development teams around the world including in the UK, Ukraine, Russia and Costa Rica. Often, in order to develop new features, design and product management would request new data sets and add in additional information or ways to display existing data. At the original launch, the mobile app analyzed data from multiple streaming services, all with their own color code. The set of streaming services continually expanded and eventually social, demographic, physical sales and various chart information was integrated.

RESPONSIVE DESKTOP APP

As the AMP platform grew, providing more data, services and increased active users, the team worked on a responsive desktop version. The design team reviewed the existing information architecture and discussed how features could be expanded for the desktop experience.
